Actress, producer, writer, director and Tampa native Liz Vassey came on The Blend to talk about her soon-to-be-released documentary film, “The Human Race [the-human-race.net], which follows runners over the age of 50 as they train for their first 5K, 10K, half marathon or marathon.
The film features Debbie Voiles, founder of the Hillsborough County running group Run Tampa, and six additional women from the Tampa area, whose ages range from 60 to 80, as they train with the Run Tampa. We also got to meet legendary women's marathon runner Kathrine Switzer, the first women to complete the Boston Marathon.
Liz Vassey is known for her many roles in television and film including a five year run on CSI.
