How to get Black Friday deals now

If you've been checking out all the Black Friday ads that have already been released then you're most likely looking forward to the savings. But you probably aren't excited about the crowds you'll have to encounter. No worries though, your credit card can help you get that new TV today at the Black Friday price.

How? Well, some cards offer price protection that reimburses you the difference of an item that goes on sale within a couple months of purchase.

Here's a look at some of the cards that will pay you back:

Citi: Citi's Price Reward program offers a refund of up to $500 per item and up to $2,500 a year. All you have to go is go online and register what you bought and then for the next two months the company tracks the item. You just have to be sure to keep your receipt so you can request a refund if the price goes down.

Chase: Chase has the same max payout as Citi. To get money back from Chase though you have to submit a claim with your original receipt, a credit card statement and an ad showing the item's lower price.

Discover and Mastercard: Both Discover and Mastercard also have similar programs but there can be some restrictions. For instance, if a deal is promoted as "limited quantity" or a "doorbuster" it might not qualify for a refund.

But as with most credit cards, it's important to read the fine print and do your research before submitting a claim.
