Gillette recalls women's Venus Simply3 razors due to misaligned blades

TAMPA, Fla. — Gillette is recalling women's shaving razors because they pose a higher risk of cuts during normal use.

The recalls involves 87,000 packages of Venus Simply3 disposable razors. Gillette reports a manufacturing error caused blades on the razors to become misaligned.

The razors come in pink, purple and yellow colors.

They were sold in stores nationwide January 2019 through May 2019 in two different package types: a Venus Simply3 Disposable Razor 4-pack and a Daisy 12+1 Venus Simply3 Bonus Pack which included one free Venus Simply3 razor.

Consumers can identify the recalled razors using the ten digit lot code on the right or left side of the plastic package and the UPC number.

Gillette is asking consumers to immediately stop using the razors and contact the company to receive a postage-paid return label to return the razors and receive a voucher for a replacement.

Consumers can contact Gillette by calling at 800-362-1258 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT Saturday through Sunday or going online to www.gillettevenus.com and clicking on Safety Notification.
