Pets are important. They provide comfort and support. Research has shown that interaction with animals can reduce high blood pressure and lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Pets can also help people with loneliness and depression.
Since approximately 67% of households in the United States include pets, many professionals providing medical services during the coronavirus pandemic are likely pet owners. And these hardworking people treating and caring for an increasing number of seriously ill patients could really benefit from some extra comfort and support.
Free Dog Cameras For Those On The Frontlines
Furbo, makers of a camera designed especially for dogs and their people, is currently gifting cameras to medical workers putting in long hours and risking their own health to care for those fighting a COVID-19 infection.
“Our vision has always been to bring joy and innovation to pet lovers worldwide,” Furbo Dog Camera wrote in an Instagram post. “We hope this gift will do just that and help them stay connected to their furry family while they fight for us on the frontline.”
Pet owners can receive alerts when their dogs are barking, and the two-way audio feature means you can communicate with your pet. There’s even a treat-tossing feature so you can provide positive reinforcement.

The offer is open only to medical professionals currently working at hospitals.
