TAMPA, Fla.—Attention all witches and wizards: grab your wands and go on an adventure during a magical murder-mystery game! Witchcraft & Wizardry is coming to Tampa Saturday, September 19.
The goal of the game is to work with your team of up to 6 people to hunt down and interrogate virtual witnesses all over town using the CluedUpp Detective App.
The game takes place outdoors on the streets of Tampa. You'll crack clues, solve puzzles, complete challenges and race against the clock as you compete against other teams.
What you need to play:
- a team of detectives (between 2-6 players)
- at least one smartphone per team
- a fantastically clever team name
- Witchcraft & Wizardry inspired fancy dress (optional but fun)
Teams will begin their self-guided journey at their designated start location anytime between 9 a.m and 2 p.m. Children under 16 can play as extras for free (however, please note that the game is not designed to be played or solved by children on their own).
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Fastest team
- Best fancy dress (witches/wizards inspired)
- Best team picture
- Best team name
- Best little detective (kids prize)
- Best K-9 (dogs prize)
Tickets are $48 for each team and can be bought online. Due to the pandemic, the number of tickets sold will be limited and there will be multiple start locations to help spread out the teams. To learn more about CluedUpp and events like Witchcraft & Wizardry, click here.
