Friday, April 13

Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival

When: April 13-22
Where: Pier 60, Clearwater Beach

Info: Featuring 1,000 tons of sand and 11 world-class sculptors, the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival begins Friday on Clearwater Beach! This 10-day celebration will transform America’s No. 1 Beach into an artistic paradise April 13-22.

 

Sun'nFun International Fly-In & Expo

When: April 10-15
Where: Lakeland Linder Airport at 3900 Don Emerson Drive, Lakeland

Info: The second largest gathering of aviation enthusiasts in the world is happening in Lakeland this week for the Sun 'n Fun International Fly-In & Expo. The six-day event runs from April 10 to April 15 and it features air shows, educational forums and aircraft displays. More than 250,000 people and some 3,000 planes will buzz into Lakeland making it the busiest airspace in the world over Lakeland Linder Airport on the 1,000-acre Sun 'N Fun campus. 

 

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Sarasota Film Festival

FishHawk Riverview Rotary Crawfish Festival

When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
Where: Winthrop Town at 11207 Winthrop Main Street, Riverview

Info: The FishHawk Riverview Rotary Crawfish Festival features crawfish dinners, corn, potatoes, Jambalaya, etouffee, chicken and sausage gumbo, red beans, rice and much more. There will also be live music, free activities for the kids and drink vendors for the adults. 

Safety Harbor Beer and Burger Throwdown

When: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. 
Where: Safety Harbor Waterfront Park at 110 Veterans Memorial Lane, Safety Harbor

Game 2: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. New Jersey Devils

Katt Williams World Tour

Dog Day at the Rays

When: 1:10 p.m. 
Where: Tropicana Field at 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg

Info: The Tampa Bay Rays invite you and your puppy pal to Dog Day at Tropicana Field! Pints and Ping Pong Tournament

When: 1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. 
Where: 3 Daughters Brewing at 222 22nd Street South, St. Petersburg

Info: Come out to 3 Daughters Brewing Company for some pints and ping pong! This 32-player single elimination ping pong tournament will begin at 2 p.m. There will be 4 tables in play. Tentative game times will be posted on brackets. Paddles will be provided, but you are welcomed to use your own. Check in at 1:30 p.m.
