LAKELAND, Fla. — The Joinery is the newest hot spot in Lakeland to grab a bite, sample some cocktails and hangout with indoor and outdoor patio seating. It's the first food hall established in Lakeland.
The food hall opened in January. The building used to be the Lakeland Brewing Company, and now it houses seven food vendors, a bar, a floral/gift shop and a brewery, which will be operational later this year. Owners Jonathan and Sarah Bucklew furnished the space with handmade furniture from their furniture company. They created the space to be a relaxing hangout where you can sample a variety of food.
"My wife, Sarah, and I thought it was important to cultivate something like this in Lakeland because the culinary scene was beginning to grow but we were missing that spot where you could have large gatherings, where you could have such a variety in one place," said co-owner Jonathan Bucklew. "That's what led us to do it here."
Six of the seven food vendor are back in operation after shutting down for COVID-19. You can check out their menus below:
As the pandemic calms down, The Joinery will be building out an events calendar, including yoga, workout classes, story time for kids, private events and more.
The Joinery is located at 640 E Main Street in Lakeland. To learn more about what this food hall has to offer, click here.
