TAMPA, Fla. — The Columbia Restaurant in historic Ybor City is Florida’s oldest restaurant and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world.

What started as a small 60-seat corner cafe in 1905 can now seat over 1,700 people in 15 different dining rooms. Each time you go for dinner or lunch, your experience in the restaurant will be different from the last.

This Tampa staple has served up the same delicious Spanish and Cuban cuisine for 115 years.

Now in its fifth generation, the Hernandez/Gonzmart family still owns and operates the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor.

Tasty food we recommend:

  • The 1905 Salad
  • Original Cuban Sandwich
  • Paella
  • Shrimp and Crab Enchilado
  • Tapas
  • Mussels y Chorizo "Andres"
  • Sangria

You need to also catch the nightly flamenco dance show, which consists of ballet moves in colorful Spanish costumes accompanied by the distinctive sound of castanets. This must-see rhythmic dance is an entertainment experience you don't want to miss.

Flamenco dances run every night except Sundays. Click here for reservation information.

The Columbia Restaurant is located at 2117 East 7th Avenue, Tampa.
