The City of Tampa is one of the best cities to live in if you base it off of a low cost of living mixed with high salaries.
GoBankingRates.com analyzed and ranked 270 cities in the U.S. based on their livability and Tampa was ranked 8th out of 12.
The site took into account median home rent, groceries, utilities and transportation to find the average monthly living expense for that area.
Tampa's average household income is $80,121 and cost of living is $23,035 according to the website.
The website found that Tampa has higher than average costs for groceries but those costs cancel out the low costs of utilities.
The top spot is claimed by Oklahoma City with an average household income of $72,385 and a total cost of living of $18,701. Kansas City, Missouri holds the number two spot with Lexington, Kentucky rounding out the top three.
