TAMPA, Fla. — Family-friendly fun is just around the corner with the return of Sesame Street Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends. The event is set to kick off on May 4 at Busch Gardens.

New additions include the Safari of Fun area and Abby’s Garden. There will also be meet and greet opportunities with Julia, Sesame Street Safari of Fun’s newest friend! Julia is a sweet and curious four-year-old with autism, who has recently joined Elmo and Abby Cadabby to help celebrate Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversary.

There are various activities for children to enjoy, from character dance parties to scavenger hunts to live shows. The event will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday, May 19. Each weekend will highlight different characters:

- Elmo Weekend, May 4 & 5: Guests can help Elmo and his pet goldfish, Dorothy, find her friends as they make their way through the Busch Gardens’ Sesame Street Safari of Fun play area and discover treasures along their way!
- Rubber Duckie Weekend, May 11 & 12: Join the search for Ernie’s favorite rubber duckie! Guests will experience all Sesame Street Safari of Fun has to offer while spending quality time with Bert and Ernie!
- Cookie Monster Weekend, May 18 & 19: Look for cookies among the flowers with the one and only Cookie Monster and his closest friends. Guests can enjoy arts and crafts and more during this special family-friendly weekend!

For a limited time, kids of Florida residents 5 years old and under can get into the park for free to enjoy the event with the Busch Gardens’ Preschool Card. Parents must register their children online by May 19 for their kids to enjoy complementary entry into the park through the end of the year.
