ANAHEIM, Calif. — First it was Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Now a new land based on Marvel comics appears to be moving forward at Disneyland in California!

According to the Los Angeles Times, the city of Anaheim approved building permits for a Marvel-themed expansion at Disney California Adventure Park.

The permits are for projects like new bathrooms, a retail area, microbrewery, and a character meet-and-greet area.

According to the report, Disney representatives won't comment on the permits, but the company did announce back in May that a Marvel-themed land would open in 2020 at Disney California Adventure Park.

The permits said the construction will cost more than $14 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The report goes onto say one attraction at the Marvel-themed land could be centered around Spider-Man, while a current ride at the park, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, will anchor the land.

This exciting news comes on the heels of the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland last month. A second location will open at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando on August 29.
