DOVER, Fla.—The Hillsborough County Fair is back for more amazing food, livestock shows and thrilling rides.

This year, the theme is "Let the Good Times Grow". The fair welcomes Farmer Sydney as the new ambassador. Catch him juggling pumpkins or riding around the fairgrounds on his tall unicycle.

Eat your heart out with delicious funnel cakes, fresh corn on the cob, kettle corn, hand-dipped corn dogs, and so much more. There are so many different booths to choose from, you’ll be full before the end of the day!

This fair has a variety of free shows and entertainment. Watch cute little piggies dash and splash for an Oreo cookie with Robinson's Racing and Swimming Pigs. Cheer on the next generation of heroes at the Firefighter Show, where kids can volunteer to be put through firefighter training. And don’t forget about the Family Thrill Circus, who will perform impressive acts for the whole family to enjoy.

The Hillsborough County Fair has some of the largest youth livestock shows among county fairs in the southeastern United States—more than 800 animals that will be on display and competing in the show ring! Buyers can support these youth contests by purchasing their market livestock projects.

Additional activities include haunted hayrides, a butterfly experience, an art exhibit and competitions, live music in the entertainment pavilion, and all of your favorite fair rides and games. Ride armbands are available every day for $20.

You can also take part in these grandstand events for an additional $10:

  • Rodeo
  • Demolition Derby
  • Truck and Tractor Pull

Find dates, times and addition information for these events here.

The fair runs October 17-20 and 24-27. Tickets at the gate are $7 for adults, $5 for students (K-12) and free for kids 4 and younger. If you’re looking for some savings, check out the fair on Thursdays for Dollar Day, when fair admission and each carnival ride is only one dollar.
