Have you ever wanted to learn how to play the ukulele?
Florida’s largest ukulele club, the Tampa Bay Ukulele Society, holds regular performances, classes, open mic jam sessions and free workshops.
That’s right! Free beginner workshops!
“Come out and enjoy the fun,” said Cosmo Sagristano, TBUS member. “It’s free and easy to learn.”
Through its TBUS Cares program, the group has made cash donations to charities, donated ukuleles to libraries throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, and donated the time of its members to teach beginner ukulele workshop programs.
“Anybody can play it. It’s easy chords, only four strings and a ton of fun,” said Carol Gall, TBUS member.
TBUS Cares donated $2,000 to Ruth Eckerd Hall last week to continue its mission to the Tampa Bay community.
