Smithsonian magazine's Museum Day is Saturday, meaning nearly 1,500 participating US museums are offering free admission! This includes more than 100 museums in the state of Florida.
The Tampa Museum of Art, Imagine Museum and The Ringling are among the roughly 20 museums in the Tampa Bay area participating.
All you need to do is download tickets online here. The tickets provide free admission for two people and can be downloaded through 3 p.m. on September 22.
One download is available per email address.
It is worth noting that at least one of the Tampa Bay area museums is closed Saturday so the offer will instead be valid Sunday.
Smaller art museums, historic homes, lighthouses, forts and more are all among the wide range of institutions participating in the fee-free day.
