TAMPA, Fla. — If you’re missing your massive, over-the-top themed Freak Shakes, Bake’n Babes is challenging you to make your own at home. Enter the Quarantine Freak Shake Challenge for a chance to win a Freak Shake party for four once the pandemic is over.
How to Enter
Create your own Freak Shake at home. Be as creative as you want with your massive milkshake. Bake’n Babes founder Julie Curry said the secret to a good Freak Shake is “just a fun and original idea.”
“There’s no rules with it,” Curry said. “You can do anything you want, just something that makes you happy.”
Take a pic and tag @bakenbabes on Facebook or Instagram by April 28. Bake’n Babes will pick the top 5 and put them to a public vote on April 29-30.
The winner will get a Freak Shake party for four people at the Hall on Franklin once the pandemic clears up.
“Since we’ve definitely been missing seeing everyone’s faces and everyone’s interactions with the freak shake, we were like, ‘Ok, everyone’s home, they have plenty of time. Let’s just see what they come up with.'”
So far, people have submitted some creatively themed shakes, from first responders to Easter to even Tiger King.
Bake’n Babes is still open for business during this time. Get cookies and brownies delivered to your door via Uber Eats or DoorDash. Since the Hall on Franklin is closed, Dave Burton of Gen X Tavern is letting Bake’n Babes operate out of the 80s and 90s themed bar.
