CLEARWATER, Fla. — A special dolphin is now getting to call Clearwater Marine Aquarium its forever home.

PJ is a female Atlantic bottlenose dolphin who was rescued in the shallow water of Old Tampa Bay. She was approximately 30 years old at the time of her rescue.

The dolphin is partially deaf, blind and suffers from arthritis, so she will not be released into the wild due to the severity of her medical conditions.

PJ will initially be paired with Winter and Hope and live in the Winter Zone. All of the rescued dolphins at CMA will eventually move to the new, much larger, dolphin habitat scheduled to be completed in 2020.
