Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island and SeaWorld Orlando announced Thursday the new rides that are coming to the parks in Spring 2020.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Gwazi, Florida’s first wooden-dualing roller coaster, is being evolved into North America’s tallest and the world’s fastest and steepest hybrid roller coaster. Iron Gwazi will be 206 feet tall, feature a 91-degree drop and reach speeds up to 76 mph. This will be Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s 10th roller coaster.
Adventure Island
Adventure Island will celebrate its 40-year anniversary next year with the launch of America’s first dual tailspin water slide. Solar Vortex will have a 52-foot tower and reach speeds up to 20 mph. The new attraction will combine high banking rotations with rapid descents.
SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando is opening its first multi-directional launch coaster. Ice Breaker will be the park’s 6th roller coaster and will be in the Wild Arctic Plaza. It will have a total of four launches with its first launch taking riders backwards up a 100-degree tilt, making it the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida.
