TAMPA, Fla.—Since 1956, Bern’s Steak House has been a staple in the Tampa community. With opulent décor, prime aged steaks and an extensive wine list, it’s hard not to think of Bern’s when you want to celebrate a special occasion.
The family-owned steak house offers 6,000 selections of wine (one of the largest collections in the world), complementary tours of the wine cellar and kitchen and fresh, quality ingredients. All steaks are cut to order, and the vegetables are locally farmed. You can see the full menu here.
People should keep in mind that Bern’s has a strict business-casual to semi-formal dress code policy. Also, a 12% service charge will be added to any dinner check for the waiter, regardless of party size.
After dinner, guests can head upstairs to the Harry Waugh Dessert Room for dessert, coffee and post-meal cocktails. Priority for the dessert room is given to guests who made a dinner reservation, but people are welcome to skip dinner and come in just for the dessert if they are willing to wait up to an hour. Reservations are not accepted for the dessert room.
