ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — ABC Action News is bring back its Pet of the Week segments because we understand lovable animals in Tampa Bay area shelters still need to find homes during the pandemic.

This week we bring you an amazing pup from Pet Pal Animal Shelter. Rose is an 3-year-old Pit Bull Terrier. She is a quiet, affectionate girl with a heart of gold.

According to the American Kennel Club, terriers are intelligent, good-natured dogs who are excellent guardians.

With the help of their “Guardian Angels,” all adopters of Pit Bulls from Pet Pal will go home with a crate, leash, collar, Kong toy and small bag of Science Diet. Also included is a free initial vet visit to Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic where a 1-month supply of heartworm and flea prevention will be provided.

A group training class will also be offered by a certified trainer to provide guidance in leadership skills for all family members.

Thanks to Rose's Pit Project Guardian Angel, Sandy Clenney, her adoption fee is only $75.

Rose is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed. You must own your home to adopt her.
