ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Each week ABC Action News attempts to help find a home for dogs currently housed in a local animal shelter.
This week we bring you a slice of heaven from Pet Pal Animal Shelter.
Nevaeh is an 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix. She is very social, loves to go for walks, and adores squeaky toys. Shelter workers say Nevaeh is a smart girl who learns quickly and should be easy to train.
According to the American Kennel Club, terriers are intelligent, good-natured dogs who are excellent guardians.
With the help of their “Guardian Angels,” all adopters of Pit Bulls from Pet Pal will go home with a crate, leash, collar, Kong toy and small bag of Science Diet. Also included is a free initial vet visit to Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic where a 1-month supply of heartworm and flea prevention will be provided.

A group training class will also be offered by a certified trainer to provide guidance in leadership skills for all family members.
Thanks to Nevaeh's Pit Project Guardian Angel, her adoption fee is only $75.
Nevaeh is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed. You must own your home to adopt her.
