ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — ABC Action News is bringing you a charming boy this week in our Pet of the Week segment.

McDuff is a 2-year-old, 25-pound Westie mix who will make a great family dog in a loving home. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but is just as happy to hang with the humans.

According to the American Kennel Club, West Highland Terriers or "Westies" are loyal, happy dogs that love to chase after anything that moves.

McDuff arrived at Pet Pal Animal Shelter in mid-January after staying at another shelter.

Vets realized he has a weird gait. An exam determined McDuff suffered an old injury to his hind legs that did not heal correctly. Specialists determined he did not need surgery.

McDuff is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
