BIllie Eilish may be the "bad guy," but her next song will serve as the soundtrack for one of the greatest heroes in the history of film.
Eilish will record the title song for the upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die, the franchise's promotional Twitter account confirmed Tuesday.
"It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock," Eilish said, according to the Bond Twitter account.
According to the James Bond promotional team, the 18-year-old singer will be the youngest artist ever to record a title track for a Bond soundtrack. Eilish will join artists like Adele, Nancy Sinatra, Tina Turner, Sam Smith and Gladys Knight in recording Bond title tracks.
Eilish wrote the record alongside Finneas O'Connell, her brother and fellow singer/songwriter.
The franchise also confirmed Tuesday that legendary composer Hans Zimmer wrote the score for "No Time To Die." Zimmer won an Oscar for Best Original Score in 1995 for his work on The Lion King and has been nominated for nine other music-based Oscars.
No Time To Die, the fifth and final Bond film starring Daniel Craig as 007, is slated for an April 2 release in the U.S.
CONFIRMED: @HansZimmer will compose the score for #NoTimeToDie. Director Cary Joji Fukunaga said: “I’m beyond excited that Hans is scoring #NoTimeToDie. The music of Bond has always been iconic and I’ve already witnessed Hans adding his touch of genius to the Bond legacy.” pic.twitter.com/L3q06ymLyH
