Award-Winning Journalist Jada Williams joined the ABC Action News team in June of 2022 as a weekday multimedia journalist. Jada primarily covers Hillsborough County and crime.
Since joining the team, Jada has covered stories such as the fallout from the City of Tampa's pump failure, causing homes to flood during Hurricane Milton; the rising cost of paradise and access to rental assistance; and various high interest court cases.
Prior to moving to Tampa Bay, Jada spent five years at fellow Scripps News Group station WTXL in Tallahassee. There Jada was a Weekend Anchor and Reporter. She's covered a range of stories including Hurricane Michael, the Hot Yoga Tallahassee shooting, corruption in Tallahassee's city hall, and the murder of FSU Law Professor Dan Markel.
Jada won a Suncoast Regional Emmy for her reporting on the murders of Oluwatoyin Salau and Vicki Sims.
Jada is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and proud South Carolinian.
