Makeup Artist Ryan Kelly is known for going viral with her incredible makeup talents and she's at it again, this time entertaining our eyes with her recreation of some of the Oscars' Best Picture nominees, on her lips. Yes, on her lips!
Ryan has more than 77,000 followers on Instagram and if you scroll through her feed, you'll be amazed at the things she can recreate into lip art. It all started in 2015 when she was watching Katy Perry perform the Super Bowl halftime show, you know, the year of the viral "left shark?" The person dressed up as a shark, dancing with Katie, was fumbling through the dance moves and it's all everyone could talk about after the show. While she was watching with her husband, he suggested she put her makeup skills to the test and paint a shark on her lips/face and transform her fingers into fins too so that she could puppet her own Left Shark performance. She posted the final product on Instagram and the rest was history. She immediately went viral after posting the photo as a joke and here she is today, creating exquisite and incredibly detailed lip art based on some of the trendiest pop culture topics.
She's created ridiculously detailed lip art for all sorts of pop culture topics... from memes to TV shows and movies to favorite brands and more. One thing is for sure, she's not kissing this talent goodbye anytime soon.
Her talent even got the attention of one of her favorite celebrities, Jeff Goldblum.
Ryan partnered with Brit + Co to create five one-of-a-kind lip art looks for movies nominated for Best Picture at the 91st Academy Awards that air on ABC on Sunday, February 24th.
