Pop icon Mariah Carey just furthered her already illustrious career and history on the Billboard charts, and it's all thanks to that catchy Christmas song she penned 25 years ago.
According to Billboard, Carey's inescapable holiday hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" will advance to the top spot on the Hot 100 singles chart this week, marking the first time the song has hit No. 1 since it was released in 1994.
The song previously peaked at No. 3 on the definitive singles chart last year and then again just last week.
The new chart accomplishment brings Carey's total No. 1 hits on the Hot 100 to a whopping 19, securing her spot as the solo artist with the most No. 1 hits in the chart's history. Edging out Carey by just one, the Beatles have 20 chart-toppers on the Billboard ranking.
"We did it," Carey tweeted Monday, announcing the news to her millions of Twitter followers.
