If you can’t get enough guacamole on your Chipotle burritos or bowls, but hate paying extra to get your fill, then mark your calendars for Friday, July 31 — aka National Avocado Day!
In addition to scoring free guacamole on National Avocado Day, you can currently enter the burrito chain’s contest to win a year’s supply of free guac. That’s a lot of green. For both of these free-guac opportunities, all you’ll need is your smartphone.
“National Avocado Day has become a holiday synonymous with Chipotle’s fresh, hand-mashed guac without the extra cost,” said Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s chief marketing officer, according to a press release.
On July 31, Chipotle Rewards members will automatically receive their free guac offer through their account on the Chipotle app.
Anyone who is not currently participating in the free Chipotle Rewards program can sign up by July 30 to secure their deal. To join the Chipotle Rewards program, visit the official website or download the app and click on “Create an Account.”
And if free guacamole for one day just isn’t enough, Chipotle is offering a chance to win a year’s supply of free guac with its Unlock the Guac Challenge.
The Unlock the Guac Challenge runs July 29-30 when Chipotle will post clues on social media to help fans guess the passwords to six special rewards accounts (one account for each ingredient in Chipotle’s guacamole).
Fans enter the challenge by texting password guesses to 888-222, and if a fan guesses a correct password, they win ownership of the Chipotle Rewards account, complete with 52 free guac rewards!
Chipotle is revealing clues to the challenge on its Instagram, TikTok and Twitter accounts. So follow them today for your chance to grab the giant guacamole prize.
