Crews with the United States Coast Guard and Cuban Search and Rescue authorities continued to search through Wednesday night into Thursday morning for a 23-year-old Floral City man who fell off of the Carnival Victory cruise ship 33 miles northwest of Pinar Del Rio, Cuba.
Brandon Paul, 23, reportedly went overboard from the eighth deck of the cruise ship at approximately 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
The cruise ship launched a search boat and the Seventh Coast Guard District Command Center was contacted.
Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew launched to search for Paul. The cruise ship crews continue to search on scene.
Cuban Search and Rescue Authorities have launched assets to assist in the search efforts due to the proximity of the incident to Cuban territorial seas.
