Tornado damage, injuries reported in Pensacola

A tornado touched down Tuesday night in Pensacola, injuring at least six people and heavily damaging three buildings at an apartment complex.

 

The full extent of damage is unknown. The Pensacola New Journal reported thousands of people were without power.

 

The storm was part of a major weather system that spawned at least seven other tornadoes in Gulf states. Three water spouts formed simultaneously near New Orleans while a camera rolled.

 

The same weather system is moving toward Tampa Bay. Keep an eye on your forecast.
