NASA launched a satellite on an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral on Friday morning.
The launch, originally set for 8:03 a.m., will send a tracking and data relay satellite orbiting 22,300 miles above Earth.
The launch was delayed due to a thermal issue. The rocket was launched at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
The satellite will provide near-constant communication links between the ground and orbiting satellites, such as Hubble, and the International Space Station.
