Current weather conditions in Florida are ideal for wildfires. Fire danger could pop up near your home or family at any point. Because there is no way to predict a fire, the Florida Fire Service created an app that helps you keep track of the fires in your area and around the state and tips on how to stay safe.
When you open up the app, you'll see many options - like drought information, plus an interactive fire map that pin points the fires around the state. If you press the wildfire information tab - it'll take you to a menu where you can see if your county is under a burn ban, the fire danger index, and tips on how to keep your family and home safe.
It also shows you road closures and the smoke/air quality tab tells you the air and smoke conditions in your area. Plus, if you need to get in touch with the Florida forest service, their is contact information in the last tab.
