Amazon Prime customers now have the ability to order food from dozens of Hillsborough County restaurants. The service launched on Thursday.
Audrey Perez is the owner of Mr. Empananda. She signed her restaurant up for the new app after her success with a similar service called “Uber Eats.”
“We got huge orders. Our one location in south Tampa had to hire an extra person just to keep up with the Uber Eats orders,” said Perez.
The “Amazon Restaurants” service is free with a yearly $99 membership. Uber Eats charges a $5 fee per delivery, but there is no membership.
