On Tuesday morning, a group of approximately fifty protestors spent an hour in front of a Tampa McDonald's asking for the minimum wage to be raised to $15 an hour.

The planned strike was part of the nationwide Fight for $15 movement.

Organizers said this was going to be a "day of disruption."

The only disruption caused at the East Hillsborough Avenue McDonald's came when the protestors briefly gathered in front of the drive-thru window blocking traffic as they marched through the parking lot.

A rally is planned for noon at St. Petersburg City Hall.

There is also an evening march at Centennial Park in Ybor City at 5 p.m.
