The inaugural MegaCon Tampa Bay opens on Friday at the Tampa Bay Convention Center.
The three day event features celebrity photo sessions, autograph sessions, panels, Q&A sessions, an artist alley, a costume contest, seminars and more.
Celebrities scheduled to appear include David Tennant ("Doctor Who", "Jessica Jones"), Billie Piper ("Doctor Who", "Penny Dreadful"), Henry Winkler ("Happy Days"), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom in the "Harry Potter" films), Graham McTavish ("The Hobbit" films), Brett Dalton ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), Brent Spiner ("Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Levar Burton ("Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Kevin Sussamn ("The Big Bang Theory"), Wallace Shawn ("The Princess Bride"), Kevin Sorbo ("Hercules"), Will Friedle ("Boy Meets World"), Mitch Pileggi (X-Files), and Verne Troyer (Mini-Me in the "Austin Powers" films).
Thirty-one comic book creators are scheduled to appear at MegaCon Tampa Bay including Rob Liefeld (creator of "Deadpool"), Liam Sharp, Greg Land, Andrew C. Robinson, Pat Broderick, Bob McLeod, Matthew Clark, Chuck Dixon.

Over 250 vendors from around the world will be selling comics, anime, gaming, science fiction and/or horror items in the dealer's room.
Ticket prices at the door are $30 on Friday, $45 on Saturday and $35 on Sunday. Guests may charge additional fees for an autograph.
Convention hours are as follows:
- Friday, October 28: 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday, October 29: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday, October 30: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

MegaCon is also a co-sponsor of Ybor City's March of the Pumpkin King Parade. Historic 7th Avenue will be transformed into the ultimate Halloween party with local DJs and a parade behind Halloween-themed floats.
