A woman in St. Pete was arrested after police say she used a child to try to steal from Walmart.
It happened at about 5:00 p.m. on Monday at the store located at 201 34th St. N. in St. Petersburg.
Police say in the course of the theft, the woman hid stolen items in a shopping bag, handed it to the child and told them to wait outside with the bag.
She later admitted to the crime.
Alecia B. Emeghara was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency or dependency of a child.
