On Thursday morning, the plans for the new pier in St. Petersburg will be back up for discussion. Now the big question is whether or not city council will approve an extra $14 million in funding.
That would bring the new budget to $80 million dollars, up from $46 million originally allotted, along with $20 million for the uplands.

If approved, the extra funds would be spent on enhancements to the pier and parking improvements.

Critics have said too much money is being spent on the new pier and some of those voices could be heard at Thursday's meeting. The meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.
