The Sarasota Police Department is investigating an accident involving a box truck that drove over the westbound lanes of the Coon Key Bridge.
Police say the driver is safe and out of the truck, however the box truck remains in the water.

Marine patrol officers are working to remove the truck from the water.
Traffic is beginning to build up and drivers are asked to find alternate routes if possible. The 2 westbound lanes of the Coon Key Bridge are now down to one lane.
