SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — A death investigation is underway after a body was found in Sarasota Bay on Saturday.
Sarasota police said at approximately 1:45 p.m., the body of an adult male was found near the Sarasota Yacht Club. The man was believed to be in his 40s.
The body was found by boaters in the water several hundred yards off the Sarasota Yacht Club.
Police said there is no indication of foul play, but the cause of death will be determined by the District 12 Medical Examiner Office.
The Marine Patrol, Dive Team and Criminalistics Units were on the scene.
