Lakeland Police Department (LPD) arrested four suspects Monday night for robbing the Old Navy store at 919 Lakeland Park Center Dr.
According to an employee, the suspects entered the store, hid some merchandise in bags, then attempted to leave.
They were confronted at the exit, and dropped three of the bags containing over $1,000 in merchandise.
One suspect (later identified as Ashli Adams) struck the employee in the face, while another ran out of the store with a bag of merchandise totaling $331.04. The four suspects got away for the time being.
But about 20 minutes later, a Polk County Sheriff's Office Deputy pulled over a 2010 Mercury Milan around Kathleen Rd. and Interstate Dr. because it had a seize tag order.
While searching the vehicle, deputies saw several items from Old Navy still with security tags on them.
The officers coordinated with LPD, who brought the employee to the scene where she positively identified the four suspects.
Police also noticed the suspects were wearing the same clothes seen in the video captured at Old Navy at the time of the incident. That video is not being released at this time.
All four suspects were arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail:

• Ashli V Adams, 19, Tampa, FL. – Charged with Robbery without a Firearm.
