TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. — A small plane made an emergency landing on Treasure Island Beach Sunday morning.
Treasure Island Fire Chief William Barrs said two people were on board the small plane that landed safely.
The single-engine plane landed behind the Bilmar Beach Resort in the 10600 block of Gulf Blvd. around 9 a.m.
The fire chief said the pilots reported engine trouble which forced them to make an emergency landing.
Treasure Island Fire Department firefighters responded to the scene.
No hazard was reported.
No injuries were reported from the fire chief.
The incident was turned over to the Treasure Island Police Department so they can hand it off to the FAA to investigate.
