Clearwater Fire Rescue battled a house fire on Sunday night.
Dispatchers received a call about a fire at the house located at 1353 Union Street at 9:42 p.m. When fire crews arrived they found the flames burning the front of the home.
Paramedics transported a woman in her 70s to Tampa General Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Firefighters report two dogs died in the fire.
Westbound Union Street was blocked for a couple of hours while crews fought the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
