PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — No injuries were reported after a boat fire in Pinellas County Saturday morning.
Officials said the boat fire was reported by someone from Gandy Boulevard, near the Getaway Bar at around 7:35 a.m.

The boat was a derelict vessel that was anchored in shallow water near the Weedon Island Preserve for some time.
The boat was burned down to the water line. It is unknown what type of boat it was because the top was burned off.
The US Coast Guard responded and pumped water onto the boat. Tampa Fire Rescue responded, but quickly returned to the Gasparilla Pirate Fest since the boat was a loss and posed no danger to anyone.
No fluids were spilled into the water, and there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
