SEMINOLE, Fla. — One person died and six apartments were damaged in fire early Wednesday morning in Seminole, authorities say.

Firefighters say they found a 65-year-old man inside a second floor unit at the Seminole Gardens apartments located at 8533 110th Street North. Crews believe the fire began in the front of that apartment.

Detectives arrived on scene to assist the Seminole Fire Department around 4 a.m. They are investigating the cause of the fire.

Officials say people living in the five other units damaged by the fire need to find a new place to live.
