Pregnant teen, unborn baby killed in crash in Hudson

HUDSON, Fla. — A 16-year-old girl and her unborn child were killed in a crash in Hudson on Sunday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol. 

The crash occurred at approximately 9:11 p.m. on Little Road near Hudson Avenue in Pasco County. 

James Dunn, 19, of St. Petersburg, was driving a Ford Ranger north on Little Road, just south of Hudson Avenue with his passenger, Emily Pearson, 16, of St. Petersburg. 

Margaret Ann Wallace, 75, of Hudson, was in a Nissan Maxima traveling westbound on a private drive on Little Road, south of Hudson Avenue. Wallace's vehicle exited the private drive and entered the path of Dunn's Ford Ranger. The Nissan Maxima collided with the passenger side of the Ford Ranger, according to FHP. 

Emily Pearson, 16 of St. Petersburg died from injuries sustained in the crash. Pearson was seven months pregnant and her unborn child did not survive the crash. 

Pearson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
