PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- A person suffered second-degree burns after their boat caught fire in Pasco County Monday afternoon.
The Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to a call of a boat fire in the 4900th block of Marlin Drive in New Port Richey. Upon arrival, firefighters spotted a 20-foot boat "fully-involved" in the fire.
Firefighters say the person suffered serious burns to 15 percent of their body.
Officials are investigating the cause of the boat fire. Firefighters did not specify if there were other people on the boat at the time it caught fire.
