TAMPA, Fla. — The University of South Florida's Interdisciplinary Science Building was evacuated as a HAZMAT incident on Wednesday afternoon, Tampa Fire Rescue says.
The evacuation comes after eight people reported feeling dizzy while inside the building, USF says. It happened shortly after 12 p.m.
The building was evacuated as a precaution and the school says the air was tested and nothing abnormal was found. They say a final air quality test was performed before the building was reopened around 2 p.m.
One of the eight people was transported to the hospital for treatment, the others were treated at the scene.
No other information has been released.
