According to FHP, a black Honda Accord was traveling southbound on US Highway 41, south of Falls Boulevard, in the inside lane. During that time, a Doge Durango was traveling northbound on US Highway 41, in the inside lane. For unknown reason, the black Honda Accord left the paved travel lane and entered the grass median, then the northbound travel lane. As a result, the front left of the Honda Accord collided with the front left of the Doge Durango.
The driver of the Honda Accord, 21-year-old Tiffany Ramnarine of Riverview, was killed on the scene, according to FHP.
The driver of the Dodge Durango, Jason Lick, 42, was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. A 5-year-old boy was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash but suffered only minor injuries.
No charges were filed. FHP troopers say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
