PLANT CITY, Fla. -- An fire early Wednesday destroyed a mobile home currently under repair.
Crews from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded at 12:25 a.m. to reports of a fire at 4040 Gallagher Road in Plant City.
When firefighters arrived on scene they found the double wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
Authorities say the mobile home was unoccupied because workers were repairing it. The mobile home's owners are currently living in an RV property.
Crews had difficulty fighting the fire as there are no hydrants in the immediate area. Firefighters were forced to use tankers to shuttle in water.
The mobile home is a total loss. Investigators with the Fire Marshal's Office will determine the cause of the fire.
