Police have arrested two men in connection with the battery and robbery of a Tampa man on August 13 in Ybor City.

One of the men, Javarez Thomas, turned himself in at the Orient Road jail Friday, and the other, Hector Rivera-Reyes was arrested Monday.

Two other men who participated in the robbery have not been arrested yet.

The mother of 24-year-old Dustin Lowe man said she is relieved two people have been charged, but wants the other two people, who were involved, caught.

“This wasn’t just run up to somebody and beat them up. This person continued after he was knocked out," Sylvia Love said.

Tampa Police say they're still investigating the case.

According to Love, her son was viciously beaten and robbed behind The Stone Soup Company where he works as a cook. He was waiting for a ride home.

"They left him there to die," Love said.

Love said the incident happened around 10:20 p.m. Her son had been working earlier and was waiting behind the building for his girlfriend to pick him up. There's a city parking lot directly behind the restaurant. It's there where Love said a black SUV with 4 people pulled up and attacked.

"I’m hurt to see what was done to my son and what he’s going through and I’m angry," Love said.

The manager of a neighboring business found Lowe on the ground.

Love said her son's recovery is long. He hasn't been able to work and the bills are piling up.

“Please help find the others. Dustin deserves justice. He did not deserve this," Love said.

If anyone has any information about the case, they are urged to call the Tampa Police Department.
