A shooting investigation is under way early Friday morning at a bar and grill on Causeway Boulevard in Brandon.
An man, whose name has not been released, was shot shortly after 1 a.m. Friday at the Taiga Nightclub at 10315 Causeway Blvd. in Brandon.
The victim, 24-year-old David Smith III, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died.
The shooting happened after what witnesses said was a birthday party for the victim's sister.
HCSO is actively looking for a suspect who may have left the scene in a gray vehicle.
