More than a dozen environmentally conscious organizations teamed up to rally for clean energy in Tampa Saturday.
The Tampa People's Climate March kicked off shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday at Lykes Gaslight Square Park in downtown Tampa. The event is set to run until 1 p.m.
Those who are participating in the rally say they support Tampa becoming a 100% clean energy city.
Dayna Lazarus, an event organizer, said Tampa is in a unique position to push the state forward on climate change.
The People's Climate March in Tampa is one of many marches held nationwide in solidarity with the People's Climate March in Washington, D.C. today.
